The head of every animal slaughtered under USDA inspection is checked to ensure that the animal was healthy.

Like the head, organs are also inspected.

    • If they had experience they could probably decide good/bad about something and be less likely to pinpoint what the problem is (if there is a problem). Many slaughter inspectors are veterinarians.
