Summertime on Campus

Hey everyone — It’s been a busy summer at the PSU Meats Laboratory!  Classes ended awhile ago and although we have not slaughtered many animals or processed much meat since then, there has still been much going on around here.  Meetings and conferences, applied field research, and other projects have kept me out of the office quite a bit recently.  In that time, the Meats Laboratory has been undergoing some renovations.  Below are some photos of our goings on.

On this day, the new floor on the the slaughter area was being installed, so ... everything from the kill floor had to be moved to the processing room.
